Continuing On

I went for a walk last night even though my thigh muscles kept yelling out "are you serious?". I had been sitting at my computer thinking I needed to do something more productive because I felt lazy and didn't like it. That's when I got the text from a friend asking if I still wanted to go. Even though it was already dark out, we went downtown where it's well lit and even well populated. The term "well populated" there was used very loosely in reference to this tiny little New England town.

The air was crisp and cool, perfect for walking without sweating. I figured my body would give out and I would huff and puff before we even went a quarter of the distance. I kept waiting for those tell-tale signs that I was done for, but they didn't come so further we went. We did a whole mile and by the time we were done (about 45 minutes) it was really dark out so we called it quits. Anyone else on the street must have thought we were nuts! Every puddle we had to hop over, and ever crack we had to take a big marching step over. Afterall, walking can get boring!

When I came home I watched some Idol, snacked on some fresh Kiwi and put my tired aching body to bed. It came to me while I lay there waiting for sleep, I've always wanted to jog. I see joggers all the time and envy their stamina. I would love to go for a run, but at this point I'd only fail 30 seconds in. The Wii Fit has a running "game". In fact, my lovely 8 year old did 8 miles in 30 minutes with it! A little at a time, I'm going to build myself up to be a jogger! It's so simple, why didn't I think of it before?

Of course that's when I don't feel so LAME. I only managed to do a body test today because I'm seriously hurting (my thighs! oh my!) and I have Josh who is a go go go kinda baby! LOL Tomorrow I have no excuses! Although I will guilt myself into doing at least 30 minutes. I like this motivated me. Where has she been all these years?!

Todays weigh in wasn't full of fanfare, but it was .2lbs less than yesterdays! Yay!
